Starting pre-school is an exciting milestone and at Clifton All Saints Academy Pre-School we aim to make the transition as smooth and reassuring as possible for both the child and their family.
Daily Routine
Our pre-school is open Monday – Friday 8.45am – 3.15pm with children being able to attend the for a morning, afternoon or full day. Timings for the sessions are as follows:
- 8.45am – Pre-school opens
- 8.45am – 9.00am – Registration in class
- 9.00am – Gates locked for security
- 11.45am – Morning session ends
- 11.45am – 12.15pm – Lunchtime session
- 12.15pm – Afternoon session begins
- 3.15pm – Pre-school ends
Drop Off and Collection
Morning Session
- Parents/carers bringing their child to a morning session walk their children to the pre-school building where they are greeted by a member of our friendly pre-school team.
- Children attending mornings only (or morning plus lunchtime) are collected from the main school entrance at 11.45am or 12.15pm.
Afternoon Session
- For children attend an afternoon only session parents/carers walk their children to the main school entrance where a member of our friendly pre-school team will greet you and your child. Your child will then walk over to the pre-school building with the member of staff.
End of the School Day
- The gates to school open between 3.00pm – 3.10pm. Parents/caers are asked to collect their child from the pre-school building.
- If someone other than a parent/carer is collecting, the school office must be informed in advance.
What Happens at Lunchtime?
Children who attend for the morning have the option to stay for the lunchtime session. If your child joins us for lunchtime, they will have their lunchtime session in the main school hall from 11.45am. From 12 Noon, they will be joined by our younger year groups in the school.
All pre-school who join us for lunch have the option to bring a packed lunch from home or pay for a hot school meal.
At 12.15pm the children will walk back over to the pre-school setting to start their afternoon session.
