At All Saints Academy we provide an exciting and engaging curriculum to develop life long learners.

Intent (Our vision for the curriculum)

Our curriculum aims to allow all children to excel academically as well as develop socially, emotionally and spiritually.  We have high expectations for all of our children. We aim to provide a curriculum that is  personalised, broad and thematic, equipping pupils for life and fostering a love of life-long learning. We provide opportunities that allow children to acquire sequential knowledge, understanding, vocabulary and skills. These knowledge and skills  are based on prior learning and are secured through application over time. Applying this learning in different contexts ensures children develop understanding (change in long term memory), cultural capital and mastery. Through our curriculum we celebrate the diversity of our community, and the communities within the UK. In line with our duties under the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014, this includes a range of underrepresented and protected groups including gender, sexual orientation, religion/belief, disability, age and race.

Implementation (How our curriculum is structured)

In the EYFS we follow the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. This is supported by the non statutory Development Matter (2021) curriculum guidance. To see how our learning is structured please see the Ash Class Long Term Plan and the links below:

In Years 1 to 6 we follow the National Curriculum for all subjects. We also follow the RE Agreed Syllabus 2018 -2023 for Religious Education. Each class has created a long term plan that clearly shows the content for each subject. Click on the links below to see these documents. You can also see what each class is learning term by term on the ‘Our Classes’ page.

Impact (How effective is our curriculum)

Clifton All Saints Academy is proud that our children achieve well. Results at All Saints Academy are broadly in line or above those achieved nationally and within the local authority. Please see our Performance page for more information.
