Learning to live, living to learn

The School Day

When does school start?

At Clifton All Saints Academy the school day begins at 8:50am.  This is when the school gates open for children to go to their classrooms to start the day.

Children enter their classrooms through their classroom doors. Robin's class have their own entrance by the front gate.

Due to Covid restrictions we have some additional measures to keep the school community safe. These will be sent as and when government guidance changes via ParentMail and Class Dojo.

What happens at play and lunch times?

Morning break is at 10:40 until 11:00 for Years 1 and 2 and 11am for Years 3, 4 and 5. Reception class has a separate snack break.

Lunchtime is staggered for different classes.

  • 11:55am for Robins class (Reception)
  • 12.00pm for Puffins and Kingfishers (Years 1 and 2)
  • 12:05pm  for Swallows, Woodpeckers and Ravens (Years 3,4 and 5)

Puffins and Kingfishers will go straight to the hall and at 12.20pm will go to the playground. Swallows, Woodpeckers and Ravens will go straight out to play and will go for lunch at 12.25pm.

What happens at the end of the day?

The end of the school day is at 3:20.  Children can be collected from:

  • Classroom doors
  • Robin's class playground (Robin's only)

How can I get in touch with the school?

We use ParentMail and Class Dojo to communicate with parents.  These apps can be downloaded to your mobile phone and help parents keep up-to-date with the school day. Our school email can be found on the contact us page.
